About Kaloji Narayana Rao
Kaloji Narayana Rao (1914–2002), popularly known as Praja Kavi, was one of Telangana's most respected poets, freedom fighters, human rights activists and social reformers.
His writings reflected the struggles, aspirations and spirit of ordinary people. He actively participated in the Indian freedom movement and various social causes throughout his life.
In recognition of his immense contributions to literature, public service and social justice, the university was named after him, carrying forward his ideals of education, service and public welfare.
